My name is Marissa Reyes, and thank you for visiting my page.

I’m a storyteller, but being public about that is new to me. Professionally, I’ve been an Educator for over 15 years providing direct support to students and communities through counseling and program development. The work I do in my 9-5 focuses on creating opportunities for empathy building and belonging within diverse communities. Plain and simple – I tell stories and create brave, almost audacious, spaces for others to tell their story too.

This blog is about all of that – how it blends and integrates into something that’s culture shifting. There will be plenty of moments when the story I’m weaving together doesn’t make perfect sense, but if you stick with me, I promise, the narrative will come together.
